Occasionally, my husband turns me on to really cool concepts (Whimseybox, Bill Evans, and grits), and Salted is gonna go down in history as one of his all-time greatest suggestions.
Salted is an online cooking school. Over the past few weeks, I've become increasingly interested in learning to cook. I've been seriously considering attending a 2-day bootcamp at the Culinary Institute of America.
Back to Salted. This site is PERFECT for me because I'm very much a get-in-and-get-out kind of girl and I've yet to watch a video lasting more than 20 minutes. Salted offers brand new courses on a monthly basis led by awesome chefs located throughout the country. The first month of your membership is free and will run you $9.99 per month after. In addition to offering a decent collection of cooking videos, a membership will give you unlimited access to their chef hotline which offers answers to your most pressing questions in 30 minutes or less.
I've been signed up for about a week and a half and I have completed 3 courses thus far.
