High SocieTEA

I was invited by two friends to have tea at High Societea in Wayne, NJ and it was lovely! "Lovely" was the word of the day at this super feminine, historic establishment! High Societea is housed in a preserved building that once served as the first official post office for the area. Not only will you enjoy delicious food and drink, but you can also purchase their house salad dressings, scone mix, teas, and various gifts in their novelty shop.

The specialTeas for the month of October were Cupcake (Pictured below), Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Pie, and Apple. They all smelled wonderful, but I chose New Orleans Vanilla Bourbon-named for the birthplace of my amazing in-laws!

The "Queen's Tea" included scones, desserts, savories, and soup or salad and Quiche in addition to a pot of tea (all for $25.95). Above is the broccoli/cheddar quiche and the goat cheese/cranberry salad in Pear Vinagrette. Normally, I despise salad, but this was delicious!

Lemon Curd and Clotted Cream taste much better than their names suggest. I assure you that once spread on the house's signature caramel scones, you will be hooked.
